Step 1: You buy a share of beef from us.
Step 2: You choose your cuts.
Step 3: You pay the butcher.
Step 4: Enjoy.
A quarter share returns approximately 100 pounds of beef. A small freezer that stores 4-6 cubic feet will be needed. You'll have the opportunity to choose custom cuts between harvest date and the butchering process - we're happy to make recommendations! Typical returns include 30% steaks, 25% large cuts and ribs, and about 45% ground beef, plus soup bones and other requested cuts. Harvest cuts may be available upon request.
When you reserve a share of beef from us, you'll make a deposit to hold your portion for the next available harvest. The remaining cost is based on the hanging weight, at $6 per pound. Your deposit goes towards this cost. Once your meat is ready, you'll pay the butcher’s slaughter, cut, and wrap fees. You can then pick up your meat at the butcher or coordinate local pickup or delivery with us.
We reserve on a first-come, first-served basis. Your reservation will be for the next harvest with availability.
